Why does my GMC Terrain stall at low idle?
Eventually, it began the pattern as shared in other registered complaints – after it has warmed-up while attempting to move forward after coming to a full stop it began stalling. It has NEVER done this when the engine was/is cold!
What causes a GMC Sierra to idle roughly?
Here are the main components of the ignition system, as well as what would cause them to make your Sierra idle roughly. Spark Plugs – One of the absolute most common causes (if not the most common reason that your Sierra may be misfiring) is the spark plugs.
What causes the idle speed to go up or down?
The idle air control valve is programmed to regulate and maintain the engine idle speed at a constant rate. If the valve fails or has any issues it can cause the idle speed to be thrown off. This may result in an unusually high or low idle speed, or in some cases a surging idle speed that repeatedly climbs and falls. 2. Check Engine Light comes on

What makes a GMC Sierra run too lean?

The heat of the exhaust can also bake the wiring going to/from them over time. If an oxygen sensor goes bad, it can make your Sierra run too lean (or rich).
