For about 5 miles the A/C worked normally till we hit a R/R and the bump made it stop blowing cold air and he was finally convinced. Back to the shop and 30 min later they found the problem. Turned out to be the low pressure switch, (under hood on bottom of small tank) it was corroded and causing a loss of electrical contact.

Recharged, cooled great for a while. On my way home, starting getting warm again, turned ac off for 10 mins, turned back on, cooled for 5-10 min then back to warm air.

Buy or borrow a gauge ,or get the $40 recharge kit from a local auto parts store. Check to see if the pressure is in range before adding any freon. Good luck, keep us posted. So problem fixed.
