A dead fuse for that circuit is the most likely cause, either because of age or because what was previously plugged in was faulty or drew too much current. If the fuse is good, you have more work to do. Check whether power is getting to the outlet by testing it with a voltmeter or circuit tester.

There is also most likely a fuse inside your phone charger – the prong end should unscrew off. Might be easier to rule that out first. I own a V Astra 1.8 2009.

Not open for further replies. Hi everyone, I was wondering if you could help me. I plugged my phone charger into my Cigarette Lighter and it suddenly stopped working. I am guessing a fuse has blown here but after looking at the fuse box cover, I have no idea which fuse the cigarette lighter is using.
