Why does my car knock until it warms up?
The rear cam bearing is located over the rear main bearing and if worn can bleed off oil pressure so the bearing knocks until the warmer oil can move fast enough to get to the bearing.

If you aren’t running 5w30 in cold weather, try that. I use 10w30 in my Subaru and notice some chatter on VERY cold mornings for the first few minutes. Per the owner’s manual recommendation, I have always ran 5w-30.
