Why does my bike idle but not die?
This is a classic and very obvious clogged pilot jet. If you can start and idle fine, but slowly rolling on the throttle bogs/dies, that’s the culprit. If you can make it through the bog and then it suddenly roars to life, that’s also a really big confirmation as well.
Why does my 2001 Warrior idle and die?
Hello I baught a 2001 warrior last month and it had problems with the spark..I changed my ignition coil and regulator and it went fine until I did an oil change last week.. It starts up, idles fine until I apply throttle then it revs a bit and dies.ANY HELP PLZ
How can I Make my Bike idle perfectly?
Pull the carb bowls off. Pull the jets and clean them til you can see perfectly through them. Use carb cleaner, and compressed air or my favorite a few strands of stripped electrical wire to push all the gunk out of em. TPS sees fuel going in and compensates, but compensates for nothing.
Why do you get a wheelie from idle?
The idle is obviously what gives you fuel during idle. The pilot serves as a gradual step as the circuits trade off from the tiny idle circuit to the relatively large main. So instead of getting a 12 0’clock wheelie from idle you can take off from a stop like a less crazy person if desired. Either way the solution is the same.
Why does my ATV run for a few minutes then stall?
As the engine heats up the coil looses its resistance and fails to deliver the charge needed to start the engine. Without bombarding you with technical numbers or making you buy testing equipment, I would simply run the ATV until it dies and pull the plug.
What to do if your bike Idles when trying to accelerate?
Clean the carb,run some sea foam through it,if that doesn’t work,try your timing.if all else fails it could be a sticky valve and or a bent valve ( I ran a bike on a bent valve for 2 months before it blew) How do you check the valves. I’m not a mechanic but I can do the small stuff. Lol I have a 89 warrior. I put it in the shed during deer season.
Is the warrior Idles fine when trying to accelerate?
The warrior idles fine. I’ve adjusted to air mix screw back and forth. It changes the idol but doesn’t seem to improve things when I try to rev it up. 2.25 turns seems to be the sweet spot, as far as idol. The needle is where zoom put it.
Why does my Traxx idle die when trying to accelerate?
The studs are there, but a piece of the ring that the header slides into is broke off. It ran when it pulled it in the shed. The pilot that’s in it now is the one from the carb that was on it.
Is the intake manifold on my bike leaking?
The carbs and manifolds are 38mm from a 1976 so I don’t have vacuum hoses of any sort. The sliders take 20+ seconds to completely close if I block the air passage which would indicate good diaphragms. The intake manifolds do not leak.
