Why do parking lights stay on after ignition?
Problem is solved. I had simply *completely* forgotten about the stupid parking light switch on the steering column. One of the two places I took the car to today, the guy must’ve just flipped the switch on accident. So everybody completely ignore this thread, as I go off and hide my face in shame for being a total idiot.

Why does my car battery light not go off?
I checked the battery and it’s reading 12.8v with the engine off, and 13.8 with the engine on. Another time I tested it it showed 14v while running and the battery light was not on. I also did a diode test as per Paulster’s comment, and it showed 1 in one direction and -1199 in the other direction, which seems within spec.

Parking lights: the car wash guys tuned on the switch on top of the steering column. Well, I’m a complete moron… Thanks, GV27, but I just got back in from turning them off.
