Why do my brakes apply by themselves?
Most likely, the brake master cylinder is not returning to its “full up” position. When the master cylinder is in its “full up” (relaxed) position, an internal valve releases all pressure in the brake system. This allows the brake shoes or pads to retract and allow the wheels to roll freely.
