Why are the wipers not working on my Jeep Wrangler?

The wipers wouldn’t park, but also while on intermittent setting they would cycle randomly…wipe twice, stop for 2 minutes then wipe 10 times and stop for 30 seconds… and just keep doing this with no rhyme or reason. I went ahead and bought a new motor (not rebuilt) and was ready to install it, but then the problem just went away.

How does the park switch work on a Jeep Wrangler?

The park switch sense circuit directs this battery current to the low speed brush of the wiper motor through the normally closed circuit of the wiper motor relay and the Off mode circuitry of the wiper switch.

Where do the wipers go when you turn off the windshield wipers?

One of the first things I noticed when I test drove this Jeep is that when you turn on the wipers and then shut them off, they don’t return to their “parked” position at the bottom of the windshield. Basically when you turn the wipers off, they immediately stop and don’t finish their cycle.

Why do wipers not return to parked position?

The event that occurs depends upon the position of the wiper blades on the windshield at the moment that the control stalk Off position is selected.
