Why are the instrument panel lights dimmed in the morning?
This means that there is less light in the early morning and your automatic sensor thinks that it is night. So the headlights are turned on and the instrument panel lights are dimmed. Even if you turn off the automatic lights, the instrument panel lights will stay dimmed. I don’t know if this is adjustable.

Adjust the dial or knob to see if that fixes the problem. If the switch was accidentally bumped, your dashboard lights might have been turned off.
