Where is the pressure transducer located on a C220 CDI?
Pressure Transducer Solenoid Valve Turbocharger this is located on the top front of the engine on a C220 CDI but I’ve provided a photo so you know what to look for. C220 CDi W204 2011. Quick question.

Symptoms are: loss of power, as if turbo fails (foot to floor and no acceleration). Turn off ignition, restart 5 mins later and back to normal. No warning lights or ‘malfunction’ displayed on the dash. The only fault logged had to be read via an error-code-reader. Any ideas?

Is there a solenoid valve on a CDI boost?
Swap the two valves over and see if the fault recurs with an EGR fault recorded. This will either incriminate or eliminate the valve from your enquiries. There is a solenoid valve, (Merc call it a pressure control device, I believe), it has 3 pipes, an electrical connection, and a small open filter on the bottom.

Is the Merc C220 CDI W204 reliability?
As a man who’s coming from VAG TDI’s all my life and one BMW X5 recently, I’ve had an itch to try a Merc for a long time and I’ve came across a really nice example with only 14k miles on the clock. Car has all the extras along with a panoramic sunroof. What I’m looking to find out is, how well are the diesel engines for reliability.
Why was there a recall on the Merc C220?
The injector issue affected the early blue efficiency cars and was apparently the result of an unauthorised design change by Delphi just prior to launch. Mercedes have replaced all those injectors free of charge as a recall/ service item, cost them millions. They reverted to an updated Bosch injector which should give no issues.
Can a 2013 Merc C220 be used on the road?
Got a mate with a 2013 E class, he & 2 others use it for ferrying Airline pilots around, it’s done 303k as it really is on the road 24/7 & they plan to run it upto 500k!! I think you will be fine. The water pump on the E class is plastic and a known weak point.
