The cupping noise was quite significant on the front and has been alievelated with the new tires. I still continue to have extremely loud road noise coming from the back end. It’s to the point where I can’t her my daughter talking in the back seat.

The gas pedal was also smooth. When I switched back and forth while rolling at 10-15 mph there was a noticeable difference. I also noticed a little “swish” sound while in Drive. Is there any problem with the trans that could explain this? Could it be a bent rear drive shaft? Does it stop spinning in Neutral? Could it be my GDE TCM tune?

So yesterday when I started the Jeep, there was a loud clicking sound coming from behind the passenger side dash. It was about 5-8 loud clicks after the engine started. It has been doing this with every start, and occasionally while driving as well.

Sounds like its a blend door actuator. They go bad at the most inopportune times. Ive had to replace all three in my Chevy Impala. I havent looked at my JKUR to see where they are, but sounds like thats the culprit. Easily replaceable (depending on location) and about $20-$30 for the part.

That motor moves a “door” every time you start your Patriot and it switches from outdoor air to re-circulation air. It is often the first one to break of the 3 motors (plastic gears). Here’s an excellent Youtube with replacement instructions- is this your noise ?:

Thats the blower motor/interior fan, Its located above the passenger footwell behind the glovebox, so that would be what youre hearing. Mine made that noise before but it eventually went away. It’s relatively easy to replace though if you have to, only 3 screws and remove one electrical connector.
