Straighten the steering wheel so that the driving wheels and steering wheel are pointing straight ahead. Loosen and remove the bolt on the u-joint that holds the column to the intermediate shaft with an 11/16” socket. (Figure 1) Remove the 4 screws that hold the dash cover.
