Where are the fuses for the blower and heater?
Fuses related to the heater/blower: F18, F24 & F38, all in the engine bay box near the battery. Relay T5 and T6 are also involved with the commands.
Is there a fuse for the interior fan?
Had a look regarding fuses, only reference I can see in the handbook is F11 which is for “additional heating”, as well as active city brake and rear view mirror demist. Not sure if that is the fuse concerned.. Will investigate in the light of day tomorrow and try to report back on here after finding out cause and remedy… fingers crossed.
How is the blower motor fed to the heater?
When you stripped down the fan did you test it by connecting it direct to a 12v supply to eliminate that as the problem? The blower motor is fed thru relay T5 from battery positive, and the returns to ground (earth/chassis) thru the speed selection rotary knob and a set of resistors allowing different blower speeds.
What to do if your internal heater fan is not working?
Open glovebox & remove fuse box cover, undo the two Torx screws at the top. Close glovebox, remove the three plastic rivets by pulling the centre pins (By hand), these attach the carpet to the frame that supports the glovebox. Undo the two Torx screws under where the carpet was secured.

I think it’s actually a 30A circuit breaker instead of a fuse. Like CountryBoy90 said, it’s on the right side under the glove box. The circuit breaker can be reset using a narrow screwdriver or pin.

Automotive Mechanic 25 years of experience Hello – the blower fan relay is located behind the glove box – small black plastic square. Make sure both fuses for the HVAC/heater are good, and have power to them (one is 10 amp, one is 30 amp).

Where is the heater blower wire on my F53?
Check the wire on the heater box under the dash on passenger side. Right under the glove box. I think it is a red wire about 12 guage and on my F53 it has been pulled loose a couple of times by some one’s foot from the passenger seat. Posted By: C-Leigh Racing on 03/30/10 08:00am
