So I recommend to not ignore the signs which are a abs light traction control light or a check engine light whenever any of those come on it’s a good idea to get your vehicle diagnosed right away.
How are yaw rate and steering angle sensors related?
The yaw rate sensor determines where your car is pointing, the steering angle sensor determines where your front wheels are pointing, the accelerometer determines if your vehicle is sliding, and the wheel speed sensors monitor each wheel’s speed.

What are the other sensors in the ABS system?
Other sensors involved in the activation of the ABS system are the yaw, lateral acceleration and steering wheel position sensors. A signal from the sensor can contain errors based on the condition of the reluctor or magnetic ring. Signal problems can cause the system to activate when it is not needed or set Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC).

Is there yaw rate sensor on ML 320?
The dealer wants over $1000 to fix the yaw rate sensor ($500 for the part plus labor). I want to DIY, since I read in this forum the part is plug-and-play. Anyway, in reading old posts on this forum, it appears that the ML 320 has (at least) two kinds of sensors, a lateral acceleration sensor, and a yaw sensor.

Where is the yaw sensor on a Mercedes Benz?
When I open up the center consol (I believe the yaw sensor is under the window control switches), will it be obvious which unit is the yaw sensor, and which one is the lateral accelerometer? And how, by the way, do you actually open up the center consol? Thanks! I’ve been having the BAS/ESP light problem too (probably for more than 10k miles now).
