The XJR1300’s engine is very solid and there are no major mechanical issues to really worry about. The biggest complaint from owners is the paint flaking off the motor and forks, but this is generally down to a lack of cleaning! The XJR1300 is certainly better finished than the XJR1200.

What do you get with a Yamaha xjr1300?
Buy the Yamaha, but only if the deal’s right. With the Yamaha XJR1300 you get a centrestand, analogue clocks and… that’s about it, despite the 2007 updates. The older SP gets Ohlins shocks, but you can’t adjust them, so it’s all a bit pointless. The factory sells crash bungs, a hugger and luggage.
Is the Yamaha xjr1300 Superbike brakes top drawer?
The ex- R1 superbike brakes are top drawer, though. The Yamaha XJR1300’s DOHC air-cooled motor started its life pushing around the sporty-touring type thing that was the 1984 FJ1100. Over two decades later it’s still making bags of thrust, still runs nice and smoothly and still posts a 0-60 time that’s effortlessly faster than a Porsche Turbo.
How big is the motor on a Yamaha XJR?
With a claimed 80lb.ft spread through the whole rev range the XJR is effectively one massive twist-and-go motor. Which is the kind of riding that suits this bike perfectly. Although the new suspension has far more adjustability and makes for a considerably improved ride the XJR still doesn’t like being rushed.
Are there any issues with the 2007 Jaguar XJ?

The car still is very luxurious, although modern cars have caught up and surpassed the technology on this 2007. (13 years on, I would hope so!)
