When did Toyota replace the knock sensor codes?
Gotta get the thing smogged. 2001. knock sensor codes being thrown see picture. Replaced with new oem denso sensors and oem sub harness. Before putting it back together I tested resistance from the sensor plugs back to the ecu plug directly and found no issue there (thought it was odd both tripped at the same time is why i did this).

Why does my Toyota Highlander not go overdrive?
Our tech would replace it just as a precaution because of the labor intensity when doing a sensor to have to go back. this code is intermittent on my highlander, has been for about 4 weeks. some times when the CEL is on, the vehicle does not shift into overdrive, nor does it drop down a gear ‘passing gear’ when trying to accelerate hastly.
How to test Toyota p0330 knock sensor codes?
Use a baer copper wire so you can get your test probe on it. Don’t short out the wires. Then put your multimeter on an AC setting and see if there is about 250mV or so. If you have a scope, that would be even better. 7.1KHz is a low frequency, but just see if you’re in the ballpark on both sensors.
What to do if your knock sensor is bad?
You have either a bad wiring harness or a bad knock sensor, there is no CEL if it determines a knock. Start by checking the sensor for tightness. You’d need an oscilloscope to test it’s function, though. You can test the wire/connector. I would replace the sensor.
