What was the problem with my Jetta 2001?
After many attempts at trying to solve the same problem you are now having with my Jetta 2001, one day I found out that the temperature’s sensor, through which the cooling liquid runs, had oil in its exterior. It was dirty due to a previous tuning, so I removed the connector to clean it and the failure disappeared.
Why does my Volkswagen Jetta not start up?
After driving for 20-25 miles, the engine stalls and it won’t start again. Only after 4 or 5 hours the car will start again as if nothing had happened. After the same distance, it stalls once more and this happens time after time. It seems as though the engine was suddenly blocked. A new coil was installed but the problem is still there.
Is there any way to start a VW Jetta?
The engine runs but there is no way it can be started. The fuel pump’s pressure has been checked, the coil replaced as there were no sparks in the spark plugs, but the problem is still there. All fuses are alright as well as the crankshaft’s sensor. The acceleration body has been cleaned and the battery replaced.
Which is better a VW Jetta or a Volkswagon?
Not to sound condescending or anything, but short of an aftermarket turbo, a different engine and alot of money, maybe the best bet would be to buy a car that has the performance. Remember, we’re talking about a Volkswagon here and that ain’t gonna get it.
Why does my 2010 VW Jetta not start?
Radio on 2010 vw Jetta tdi died durring the summer. Now, in November, the car will not start unless jumped with another car or battery charger. Fuses in car are intact. Door locks failed and had to be replaced. Battery drain when not used for two weeks, requiring jump start (replaced battery one year ago).
Why does my VW Jetta slip on take off?
Often the car would be turned off for a few minutes, then would reset. The car would then shift properly at local town driving speeds. Now the transmission appears to slip in third or when car is moving around 35-50 miles an hour on the local roads. NO PROBLEM with slipping on take off and the shifting generally shifts normally.
Why is my VW Jetta not shifting out of 2nd gear?
At about 110,000 miles it began to jerk when shifting from 1st to 2nd gear and 2nd to 3rd gear. At 120,000 it would not shift out of 2nd gear after about 20 continuous minutes of driving. I have been told that the cost to fix it is greater than the value of the car at this point and to get rid of it ASAP.
