You do this by pulling the gear shift level into low, and pulling on the plastic trim. There are about 8 clips, and a couple of plastic pins to deal with. Working it out takes a little bit, but rotating and tipping, will work it out. Take your time. Then remove 3 – 7mm screws to release the head unit from the dash.
