What should oil pressure be at 70 mph?
70 mph is cruising speed on most roads in Texas. The psi is about 28 at that speed after about 30 min on the road. The manual says that the pressure is supposed to be 32 psi with oil temp @ 230 deg. f. @2000 rpm (55 mph).

Contrary to popular thinking, using an engine oil that is too thin will not make the gauge reading erratic on an engine that is in good mechanical condition. If installing a thicker viscosity oil raises the oil pressure, then something major is wrong inside the engine.

Once it is warmed up and under load it shows 20 psi. and it has gone to 5-10 psi and come back up again. At idle it shows 0 psi. Is this something I should be worried about or is it normal for a Twin Cam 88. If you could shed any light on this matter I would greatly appreciate it. Those oil pressure numbers are typical for your m/c.
