What makes a car noise at 60 mph?
At 30-60mph, it just sounds like tire noise that you’d get from an offroad tire. I have street tires and this noise is different. Radio at normal volume is usually enough to drown it out. Over 60 mph, start hearing it more and at 65mph it sounds like I’m following one of those crappy riced out Hondas and there is slight vibration in the floor.
Is the humming noise normal at 45 mph?
Loud humming noise at 45+ mph!! Yeah, the humming noise starts @ 45mph then kinda gets louder by 50+, then @ 60mph, the noise gets lower almost back to normal. When I slow down from 60 to 50, the noise is audible, then below 45mph, the noise diminishes.

My front left one was out and it caused a loud humming on the highway and my brake and gas pedal to vibrate some. and it was all between 60-70 on the highway… didnt matter if I was braking accelerating or whatever That sound is probably a wheel bearing starting to fail. I’ve had my Dart for 10 months and this problem just started. A loud humming noise when going 60 – 70 mph. It doesn’t matter if I am accelerating, coasting or breaking…if I am in the 60 – 70 zone the hum is happening. My RPMs seem to be fine. The noise is not the revving noise that the car makes when it accelerates.

What should I do if my car hums at 45 mph?
One way to check is to make some quick side-to-side turns at 45+ mph and listen to see if the the pitch of the hum changes when you change direction. Bearing was $60 and the install took about an hour. Nothing too bad. Re: HELP!!
