Always had a slight vibration intermittently when rolling down the highway, but it finally went bad. Rather suddenly started getting a light clanging noise coming from under the middle of the back seat and a very pronounced vibration on and off. Jeep has 142K miles and is the 3.0 EcoDiesel.

So after work today I went on some spirited driving and and finally hit the sweet spot of that Damn 70 mph vibration and surprise the vibration is all gone. I also did some nice rips up to 130 mph and my rig is solid and driving like it never did before.

The dealer replaced the driveshaft — no change at all. I have a Laredo and I think the wheels are aluminum. Any other ideas?

When i brought it to the dealership they said the drive shaft was to blame and they replaced the drive shaft. drove home and noticed the same problem once again. Brought it back to the dealer….to make a long story short i have had my jeep in and out of the shop for months and still no solution.
