Diclofenac is used to relieve pain, swelling (inflammation), and joint stiffness caused by arthritis. Reducing these symptoms helps you do more of your normal daily activities. This medication is known as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID).

TRUST DIFENAC RAPID diclofenac potassium 25 mg tablets are used in short-term treatment (up to one week) for the relief of acute pain states in which there is an inflammatory component. Treatment of acute migraine attacks (with or without aura). Symptomatic treatment of primary dysmenorrhoea.
How strong is diclofenac 25mg?
0.37mg sodium per 25mg tablet. Undesirable effects may be minimised by using the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration necessary to control symptoms (see section 4.4 Special warnings and precautions for use). It is recommended that the tablets be taken with fluid, preferably with or after food.
Is diclofenac safe to take?
For most people, taking diclofenac is safe. However, if you have high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, your kidneys do not work very well or you smoke, you should check with your healthcare professional that this medicine is appropriate. Use the lowest dose that works for you and stop as soon as you can.
How strong is diclofenac?
Diclofenac needs a prescription by your healthcare provider and is considered a more potent NSAID than ibuprofen. For arthritis, diclofenac is usually dosed as 25 to 50 mg up to a daily dose of 150 mg. Ibuprofen is prescribed at higher doses of 800 mg up to a daily dose of 3200 mg.
Is diclofenac bad for heart?
Diclofenac topical can increase your risk of fatal heart attack or stroke, even if you don’t have any risk factors. Do not use this medicine just before or after heart bypass surgery (coronary artery bypass graft, or CABG). Diclofenac topical may also cause stomach or intestinal bleeding, which can be fatal.
