Can a bad pump trip a red light?
Yes, it could be. Was the light red or blue? If red, you may have a leak or your pump is going bad. A leak will be indicitive of hydraulic fluid on the ground and one side lower than the other. A bad pump will trip the light with no change in suspension height. I hope for your sake it is a leak. I just replaced my pump and all the hoses.

Previously I had a system fault code of c1525 systme pressure too low,I replaced the ABC filer in expansion reservoiw which csot about $2,134 to service.The dealer recommend to replace bot hthe front and rear valve blocks due to lates fault codes c1525-001-0002-004. This will cost $5,000.
