What is a bonnet switch?
The bonnet control switch senses when the supply air temperature is below a preset comfort level (set by installer) and sends a signal to the motor to reduce the airflow. The supply air temperature increases when the airflow is reduced. Airflow will resume to normal levels if electric strip heat is energized.
Why is my Volvo V70 bonnet open warning light stuck on?
My Volvo V70’s bonnet open warning light is stuck on, despite the fact the bonnet is firmly locked. This happened a couple of years ago and the Volvo garage said it needed new locks at nearly £300, but the warning light went off and I left it.

Checked the switch and it all seemed Good for several weeks however became very annoying after a trip to essex on the weekend, must of had warning displayed 100 times when accelerating up to Max speed limit.
