What happens when you lose power in a Mazda 6?
Driving to work started to ‘feel’ the car slow to respond – like having a flat spot; then sudden power loss again, engine shudders and the DPF starts to flash.
How long has it been since my Mazda 6 blew up?
1. Picked up the Car after 11 weeks and 4 days. This was after the engine blew up. The car has had a new engine, new catalaytic converter, new clutch (although only 2 years old and 14,000 on the clock) new engine thermostat after the new one was found to be faulty and other bits and pieces. (approx £9k that they want off me!!) 2.
Why does Mazda think its a DPF problem?
Mazda has a problem it seems but will not admit it. A new engine is about £8000. – The engine oil is rising fairly quickly on mine and I will get an oil change soon (at 3500 since the first service). – Have they said why the car thinks its a DPF problem?
How to fix a Mazda that stalls at stop?
Remove the air hose from the throttle body. Disconnect the throttle body connector. Remove the throttle body from the intake manifold, with the water hose connected. Clean the throttle body on the air hose side using a soft, clean shop cloth, sprayed with engine cleaner (Mazda recommends their P/N 000-77-A86).
What should the idle speed be on a Mazda 3?
But i’ve never owned one of these when it WASN’T doing it, so i’m not exactly sure what it’s supposed to sound/feel like when it’s running right. When i start the car cold, it revs up to about 1500-2k rpms and slowly comes down to what i’d consider a normal idle of ~800-900 rpm’s.
Can a car run fine at 750 rpm?
This problem has been getting worse over the last 2 years. When the car starts it idles fine at about 1000 RPM. As soon as it warms up, it starts to idle rough, between 500 and 750 RPM. It almost quits running. As soon as you give the car some gas it runs just fine.

Why does my Mazda 3 want to stall?
I’ve got the EXACT same problem. Put it in Neutral or Park, idles at 700 RPM. Put it in Drive and brake, idles at 300 and it feels like the car wants to stall. When the car is cold, it’s fine. When it warms up, it acts up.

What kind of transmission does a Mazda 6 have?
2005 Mazda 6s 3 liter v6 with automatic transmission (aisin warner). Application of throttle to accelerate in 5th or 6th gear causes jerk, selects neutral then eventually selects an appropriate gear. Very dangerous on uphill freeways due to sudden loss of any power.
Why is the DPF light on on my Mazda 6?
When my DPF light was on, with the TCS it was the DPF sensor. The car should be in limp-home mode (reduced power!) which it sounds like it’s doing. Don’t mess about, raise a customer complaint directly with Mazda UK. This appears to be the only way anything substantial gets done before the engine explodes.
