What does the p0671 code in cylinder 1 mean?
The P0671 code indicates that the PCM has detected an abnormal voltage reading from the glow plug circuit in cylinder 1. Diesel engines require glow plugs to heat cylinders before and during the ignition process. Each cylinder has a glow plug, which uses battery voltage to heat up.
Why is the glow plug on cylinder 1 not working?
This intense heat is quickly transferred to the cylinder head which allows the heat of combustion to maintain its heat for the fraction of a second it takes to ignite the incoming fuel for starting.
