What happens if you don’t replace your air filter?
Your air filter is designed to trap contaminants in the air before it gets pulled into the AC system. But over time that means that your filter gets dirty and clogged. And if a dirty filter isn’t replaced, it can seriously limit your AC’s cooling power. Check your air filter every month or so.

What causes an AC compressor to fail after 15 years?
It’s usually very reliable, and if it’s failed before its expected life span (10 to 15 years), it’s probably due to an underlying cause that’s often preventable. It does fail, it’s expensive and sometimes impossible to fix it.
Why does my electrical outlet keep shorting out?
Remove the outlet cover to inspect the connections. If the electrical wires or terminals are burnt or disconnected, the outlet needs to be replaced. In some cases, the outlet itself is not the source of the short. A short can occur at any electrical connection in the entire circuit.
