Why does my Honda Fit not start properly?

Hello, my automatic Honda Fit 2006 started failing and it seems to be a standard vehicle. This is because, when starting the engine, speeds do not enter properly and I need to introduce first gear and then return it to direct. A mechanic told me it was a CVT transmission failure, which cannot be repaired.

Why is the Honda Fit an unstable car?

The Honda Fit is an unstable car when driving it at more than 60 mph. When turning, it loses its hold to the road and skids, even with a dry floor. When the road is wet, the risk is much higher. The design is not a good one and the gravity center is too high and so, when speeding up, it loses stability noticeably.

What does it mean when Honda Fit won’t start?

This just means that the engine doesn’t move when you turn the key. The second way that your Fit won’t start is when the engine turns when you engage the starter, but it won’t fire and run on its own. When the engine isn’t turning over at all, that’s a bit easier to diagnose than when it is cranking but not firing.

Is the Honda Fit gearbox reliable or not?

I recently was looking to buy a small honda city vehicle (called the Honda Fit, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_Fitfor details!) and paid a visit to my local agent to get some advise on the car.  The very first response was “don’t buy it Sir, the gearbox is not reliable”.
