Is there constant 12V power for 7pin trailer plug?
I just purchased a product called White Night. They are rear facing lights that mount over the trailer hitch which plug into the factory 7 pin connector. While installing this I found out that from the factory the 7pin connector does not have the constant 12v connected.

Turned out that upon closer inspection the 40A fuse for Stud#1 was blown. It looked fine from the top but when I pulled it out it was no good. If it is hooked up and did blow a fuse it would be one of the square ones furthest inboard that protects the #1 post. Your slide must have overloaded the fuse. Mine is a 40 amp if I remember correctly.
Where is the power on a Duramax stud 2?
The trailer battery ring terminal on Stud #2 is fused with 30 Amp Maxi-Fuse. This circuit provides power to the MBEC TRLR connector inside the cab. I have no idea why you would have power to both sides of the stud 2 fuse but stud 2 would not be powered.
Where is the aux plug on a Chevy Duramax?
50 miles isn’t much for a totally drained house battery. Meter across the -ground and aux+12v pins on the 7-way plug at the rear of the truck, checking for output. Click to expand… I found the wire on lug 1 and have the voltage at the connector. The camper is in for warranty work so they are gonna check the camper end also.

This process is outlined and illustrated in the linked article, in the section titled “Finalizing Connections for the Brake Controller”. The ring terminal for the 12-volt power lead for the 7-way trailer connector is located to the left of the power distribution box. It is taped to a wire harness under the power brake booster.
How to get 12 volt power on Silverado?
It is normally taped to another wiring harness. You will need to cut the tape and release the power wire from the harness. Then, run the wire to the front of the power distribution box and hook the ring on the right post and secure with a M8 nut, like the # 185917.
