Is there a problem with my Guzzi stone?
First post to the forum. I did some google searching on my issue and it led me here. I wasn’t able to find my solution so I’m hoping someone may be able to help. bought with 2300 miles now has 2411 miles. The only apparent modifications are mistral exhaust and tail tidy. When it ran it ran well so I assume fuel mapping was done. About the problem.
Is the Moto Guzzi fuel injected or fuel injected?
It’s fuel injected, so it should. They are bringing my motorcycle to a technical training seminar next Wednesday. 20 Guzzi techs will fly in from across the country to get certified on the latest Moto Guzzis, including the California.
Is the Moto Guzzi V7 stone a reliable bike?
I’m a new rider, rode a Virago in the BRC, and feel the V-Star would be a good, safe, reliable choice. However, it is a bit small for me, and having ruled out Triumphs and the Sportster 883 for the time-being due to weight, my attention has returned to the Moto Guzzi V7 Stone which is in the low 400 lb. region.
What kind of engine does a Moto Guzzi have?
I had an ’09 MG V7 Classic. No issues whatsoever. Plus with the heads out in the open, the tank need not be removed for service. Shaft drive is a plus too. The V7 uses the small block Guzzi engine and has lower horsepower than the big block 850 Griso. The 850 and bigger engines simply are built with higher power capabilities.
What was the issue with my Moto Guzzi 2013?
My bike a 2013 which had the malfunctioning venting oil return system. The one way check valve sat too low below the oil level of the sump and oil would end up trapped behind the check valve and then get sucked into the airbox. You know what you talk about as far as the vacuum pressure assisting to get the junk out of the motor.
What causes oil sludge in Moto Guzzi V7?
That’s an V7 intake and that sludge is caused by the Guzzi vent system sucking oil out of the sump. They have since changed the venting system. I think in either 2014 or 2015. My bike a 2013 which had the malfunctioning venting oil return system.
