Is there a manual transfer case for a Silverado?
I have a 2000 Chevy Silverado 2500 6.0L with the NVG 5-Speed Manual tranny and the manual floor shifter for the transfer case (only about 76k miles on the rig).

Why do I need a manual transfer case on my Dodge 2500?
My 2500 WT has the manual tcase, that was one of my prerequisites also. My reasoning was because the Dodges (talking of the 2500/3500 variety) default to neutral if the actuator fails, leaving you stranded. And although I didn’t know if the GM variety did the same; I wasn’t going to have the opportunity to find out.

Yep manual is the way to go I’ve never had to rock my truck for it to engage either, pull the lever and all four are spinning. To put it simply they are not the same whoever thinks they are needs to look up definitions of electrical and mechanical completely different systems
What kind of fluid does a transfer case take?
The owners manual should say transmission fluid. Those transfer cases don’t take that auto-trak fluid. You can go with the full syn Dexron 6 or go with the AMSOIL Fluid. Thanks! What about capacity? Thanks!

It feels like it gets some power to the front wheels but they never fully engage. No service 4wd light comes on and 4wd buttons all work as they should. The hubs lock when 4wd is selected, and the truck shifts into low gear when 4lo is selected. The front wheels simply do not get the power that they should.
