Is the VSC off light on or off?
One day, the VSC off light and check engine started blinking but went off after some time.. I didn’t give it much thought till the car got stalled while traveling on interstate. When i started the car, check engine light and VSC off started flashing.

I do agree that there are valid reasons not to disable VSC or TRAC because of an EVAP fault, but perhaps the VSC and TRAC systems aren’t smart enough to know exactly what’s going on in the engine room, so they err on the side of caution. Turning on the light as required by law is completely separate from ACTIONING other systems based on it.

Why is the VSC off and ETS blinking?
according to a fellow customer that went to the dealership recently told me that the reason why the VSC off and ETS lights are on and blinking is because it might be a sensor issue because whenever the check engine light turns on usually it will automatically disable the traction control.
How to reset check engine and VSC warning lights?
turn car on. Press the bakes (enough to make the tail lights come on, not all they way) and release 8 times. Once you have done it enough times the display will change to “VSC DIAG OK” Remember to remove jumper wire when done. I needed to do this after changing my brake pads caused this error to flag. Very neat.
When to turn Trac off and check engine light?
If for instance your car gets stuck in the fresh snow, mud, or swamp, then turning of the TC/Trac and VSC system may be the best option for you. This is because the TRAC and VSC usually will reduce the power from the engine to the wheels in other for you have more control in cases of slip.
