Is the Mazda MX5 stalling out at idle?
I’ve had my 1992 Mazda Miata MX5 since 2009. It has 90,000 miles on it. Lately I have had a problem with the car stalling out at idle (when I stop for a light ) This is after I have driven it long enough to heat it up completely.

Miata.net has some discussion about “idle dropping” and Mazda’s seeming unwillingness to acknowledge this problem, but no definitive solutions. My dealer mechanic is not sure and says we must go down the list replacing this and that beginning with the cam sensor, then the fuel pump, and then the coil.
