Is it illegal to change odometer after cluster swap?
Note if your changing clusters (new or old)you need to correct mileage that is legal but has to be disclosed by a mileage statement…….. As has been mentioned, it’s not illegal if you are correcting the mileage after a cluster swap. I’d rather not mess with the DMV on this..who would raise their odometer reading almost 180k to decieve someone??

If I replace my instrument cluster will the mileage get reset? I see there are several clusters on ebay for say with very low mileage. Is this as simple as that? Comments please. Most vehicles these days store the odo reading in the ECU. Chances are you’ll have the same miles w/a differetn odo.

How do you change the gauge cluster on a jeep?
1. Remove the dash. There are four Phillips head screws, all facing up. There are also some clips around the dash, including by the radio, and the heater vent on the right. Go around and pull straight out. If you have a ’95 or newer, you also need to remove the steering column cover to remove the dash bezel. To do that you need a T15 Torx driver.

Why is my Car Cluster not working on my 1994 Concorde?
I have a 1994 Chrysler Concorde 3.5 and my cluster isn’t working at all. when you crank the car the speedometer jumps just a tiny bit, but if you press the gas pedal the rpm gauge doesn’t move. Also when you drive the car, the speedometer and the rpm gauge doesn’t move. Everything light wise works.
