Is a Bandit 600 fast?
The Bandit 600 is under powered compared to sports 600 (about 85bhp compared to 100bhp). But it is more powrful than a sports 400 (about 60bhp). It’ll still keep up with 600s with the right rider on it though. Unless you are taking it to the redline in every gear, you aren’t riding it as fast as it could go.

Q. My 2001 Bandit 600 has an intermittent misfire which is driving me mad. Every four to six months the number one cylinder stops firing when starting from cold. After a few seconds it’s OK, then over the next few days the misfire gets more persistent until below 3500 revs it won’t fire and the exhaust smells of petrol.

Why does my Suzuki Bandit 1200 have rust on it?
Bandits are reasonably well finished and aside from a bit of corrosion here and there and the well-known exhaust rust the main issue with early Bandits comes from the wiring loom, which can rub and wear through, leading to electrical problems. The steel frame can rust in small areas if the paint is chipped but that’s not really Suzuki’s fault.
