How old is my GMC Sierra air conditioner?
My 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 has a air conditioning leak in the condenser for the 2nd time. The first time was at 48,000 miles (2 yrs old) and now again at 92,000 (4yrs old). The first time the part was on national backorder, however I was able to locate one at a different dealership. I paid $600 for the replacement.

Anyone have any luck with a dealer actually getting their hands on a AC condenser? 2014 GMC Sierra, had to replace the AC Condenser (3 yr. old truck), cost $1000. 2 weeks after it was replaced the AC quit working again. Brought it back in, had to have a High Side Line Hose replaced, $300 more dollars to fix.
Why is my a / C not working on my 2014 GMC Sierra?
A/C compressor popped yesterday. 2014 Sierra with only 56,000 miles on her. Truck bogged down and almost died while backing out of a parking spot. Looked under the hood and saw the wheel on the compressor was looking sketchy and noticed a white residue that somehow got sprayed around the engine compartment.
Is the 2014 GMC Sierra a good truck?
2014 GMC Sierra is a great truck as long as you don’t boil in the cab over 5 minutes. GM doesn’t stand behind their product for sure. They only care about selling cars & Trucks. After warranty expires your on your own. Had to replace all hoses, seals, evaporator & condenser!!!! Pain in the ass. Hours of work.
Is the air conditioner on a 2014 Silverado still under warranty?
If it is a 2014, it should still be under warranty. Take it to the dealership and make them fix it. Of course that is normal for a GM truck for the air conditioning to blow warm air, my past 3 GM trucks all had this problem at one point or another. They were still under warranty and the dealership fixed them.
Why is the AC not working on my Sierra?
This will also weigh heavily on future vehicle purchases. Dealing with this exact same issue right now. 2015 SIERRA SLT 44,000 miles, and now no AC due to (commonly) faulty condenser. Trying to find someone to pay for repair other than myself!

Since the repairs where done at a third party shop and not done at a GM Certified Dealership, there will be not reimbursement from GM. Okay, I’m sharing this conversation in every forum I can… The fact that there has been ample opportunity for GM to fix an issue they knew about, but ignored, is something people should know about.
