I have a 2009 Silverado 2500HD 125k miles. I have had Glow plugs go out about every 3 months or so. It always seems to be the #5 and #8 most of the time. And the #8 is a PITA to get out. After reading it seems it is either a short, and I can see no cracks breaks, etc on the wire from the glow plug, or the glow plug controller.
