How long is rust warranty on Mercedes Benz?
It has been serviced by Mercedes-Benz dealers to date and should be covered for Rust for 30 years. My problem – a corroded tailgate – was investigated by Tonbridge dealers… Why won’t Mercedes-Benz honour its rust warranty on my 2003 E-Class?
Can you use the anti corrosion warranty on a Mercedes?
No you can not. You have to use the dealer network to retain the anti-corrosion warranties offered by Mercedes as the bodywork inspection is a part of the service. Most dealers will offer a contribution only or an outright refusal if you do not. reread my reply,you can get the pantwork inspection done by a dealer.
How can I tell if my Mercedes Benz is under warranty?
Just to add to the above, to qualify for warranty repair, the rusted panels should have no previous repair made to them and no respray (unless done by an MB approved body shop, and recorded to that effect), and no stone chips. Most likely the dealer will check the paint thickness as well.
