How long does it take to start a Polaris general?
Took 30 minutes once to get my General started. Once started it ran fine and would start easily again. In both instances they needed a valve adjustment. The valve would not fully close so it could not get compression. Both ran great after that.

Why does my ATV run for a few minutes then stall?
As the engine heats up the coil looses its resistance and fails to deliver the charge needed to start the engine. Without bombarding you with technical numbers or making you buy testing equipment, I would simply run the ATV until it dies and pull the plug.

It runs about 10 minutes, dies. The really weird part is that if you let it sit about 5 minutes it starts right back up again and runs great again. That is until it dies again.

Can a Polaris Ranger run at even RPMs?
When acceleration is applied it staggers and farts, until you let off the throttle, then it will run fine at an even RPMs until accelerator is pushed. It will always start right up if it dies and will idle. And run when stopped, in neutral or in gear and rolling. I’m wondering too .. is there a governor that keeps RPM’s down for over reving?
