How do you use EasyGluco?
Please the blood from your finger to the tip of the EasyGluco® test strip. The test strip will automatically draw the blood. The meter will count down from 9 to 1 on the display. After 9 seconds, the meter will beep and your test result will be displayed on the screen.
How do I use a Livongo lancing device?
Hold the lancing device against the side of the finger to be lanced with the cover resting on the finger. Push the release button to prick your fingertip. You should hear a click as the lancing device activates.
How do you use a disposable lancet?
Twist and pull the long piece of safety plastic off the end of the lancet. Then, place the lancet between your index and middle finger (like holding a syringe). Place and hold onto the finger you wish to draw blood from and press down on the large yellow button until you hear a click.
Is it safe to share lancing device?
Fingerstick devices, also called lancing devices, should never be shared, even with close family and friends. This guidance includes both the lancet (i.e., the sharp instrument that actually punctures the skin) and the pen-like device that houses the lancet. Neither should be used for more than one person.
How many times can I use the same lancet?
Officially, all lancets are single use. Though reusing is a fact of life, and many people do it. People often do it to save money, or if they are running out and won’t be able to buy more.

Can you use a lancet without a blood sugar monitor?
If that still does not work, then you may need to purchase a new device. In the meantime though, you can still use a lancet without the device to collect a sample to check your blood sugar. Do not stop checking your blood sugar because your device is not working. That could lead to complications.

Do you wash your hands before using a lancet?
Step 1. Always wash your hands before checking your blood sugar. If there is bacteria on your hands and it enters into your blood, it can cause a major infection! First, take the cap off of the device and insert a new lancet with the safety cap still on. (If it is removed first, you can poke yourself!)
