- With the vehicle parked, pull the release handle to unlock the hood.
- Insert your hand into the hood opening, slide the latch lever to the left, and lift up the hood.
- Grasp the support rod in the padded area and secure it in the support rod hole indicated by the arrow to hold the hood open. Pad.
Once the two bolt are removed (needed a 6″ socket extension to go back behind the grille) the only other obstacle is the bolt holding the release lever (this is the lever used to release the hood after you’ve pulled the lever under the dash).
