How to Remove the Dashboard From a Toyota Tacoma
- Pull the ashtray out.
- Wedge a screwdriver under the bezel around the radio and pry the bezel off.
- Remove the screw bolts on the driver and passenger sides of the dash.
- Remove the screw bolts on the driver’s and passenger’s side kick panel underneath the dash.

Re: Removing switch blank Each switch blank has clips holding it in, you need to push in the upper and lower clips inwards with a small flat blade screwdriver. You can then simply push the blank inwards to remove.

How do you remove the dash from a car?
There is a small cap that unscrews that is partially hidden by the little footrest thing. Give that footrest a hard pull and it will pop off exposing the cap. Unscrew the cap. Give the panel a little tug and it should pop off exposing a 10mm bolt facing the seat. Here is a pic of said bolt with the panel still on.
