How do you change a motorcycle gas tank?
Let’s do this!
- Secure your motorcycle. Make sure the motorcycle is in a stable and secure position.
- Remove the fuel.
- Remove fairings (if necessary).
- Remove the seat (if necessary).
- Disconnect any tank straps (if necessary).
- Remove the tank bolts.
- Disconnect the fuel pump and clear gas lines.
- Disconnect the main fuse.

Where do you get a gas tank bib for a motorcycle?
Go to Garage to select a motorcycle to ensure the best fitment. If you lean a little too far forward on your bike, your belt buckle or the rivets in your jeans can put some nasty scratches on your gas tank. If you don’t want to have to repaint your tank, get a motorcycle gas tank bib before it’s too late.

What happens when you add pipes to Electra Glide?
It may be that you compounded issues. Adding pipes will make it run lean. Adding cleaning will make it run lean. Adding to much cleaner will make it run really lean. Adding too much cleaner and new pipes… You get the idea. I’d start by siphoning the fuel out and put fresh fuel back in, even just adding a gallon or two for testing.
Why does my Electra Glide not run properly?
The bike is now sputtering and sneezing when it cruising speed if I roll into it and accelerate no problem everything clears up. But when cruising you can feel it hesitate and not want to run correctly almost as if it’s not burning the fuel correctly. Is this because of the short exhaust.
What do I need to change my Electra Glide?
Check for air leaks at the manifold first. Get the old gas out and refill with fresh. Changing the exhaust does force the need for a calibration change therefore you may be able to tweak it a little by changing the TPS slightly. Or you will need to add a tuning device such as a Power Commander III which can be fond on ebay cheap.
What kind of EFI does Electric Glide have?
Hey guys sorry if this is been discussed before new to the page. I have a 2001 electric glide classic I believe it to have the M and M EFI system. This is my first EFI bike first bagger I’m a chopper guy.
