How do I become a provider for United Healthcare?

How does a provider become in network?
To become part of a network, a provider must have a contract with the health insurance company. This agreement usually gives the doctors and other providers a steady stream of patients and offers the health insurance companies service at reduced rates.
How often does Provider re credentialing occur?

Recredentialing is required at least every three years by the NCQA, CMS and many state regulatory organizations. Recredentialing helps make sure that all health plans have the most up-to- date, accurate information about your education and experience.
