How can I tell if my Polaris Indy 500 has a spark?
The first test is to unplug the single black wire from the CDI box going to the kill switch. Do you have spark now? If yes, you have a problem in the kill switch, ignition switch or throttle safety switch. The throttle switch is the most common problem and I suspect this is what has happened to yours. I see that a lot on stored sleds.
Can a 1995 Polaris Indy 500 run in snow?
I was wondering if anyone could help. I just purchased a 1995 Indy 500 W/1025 miles. It has been sitting out behind a barn for 10 years. After changing the filters, and fluids it runs excellent for the most part I have put 50+ miles on it. The one problem though is it hates powder snow and just chugs along.
Where did Polaris make their snowmobiles in 1997?
Made In The U.S.A. – Polaris swung for the fences with their new 700cc twin and hit a grand slam. Manufactured in Osceola, Wisconsin, the extraordinarily torquey powerplant got dropped into the Indy 700 RMK and SKS for ’97. These two sweet sleds are the closest things to home grown we’ve seen since the Harley-Davidson and Evinrude days.

Why does my Polaris Indy 500 not start?
The fuel pump cycling is a tricky thing. If you disconnect and reconnect the battery (totally reset the ECU), with the key on, the pump should cycle for several seconds. If the key is off for 10 minutes of more, the keep-alive relay will have turned off, and turning the key on should cycle the pump.
