How can I bypass the Kill Switch on my Honda?
You say you changed the stator, might want to check the gap at the pick-up coil and make sure all connections are good. If that does’nt help with spark at plug, check the wire, then check the two wires going to ignition coil X2, find the black wire and the black/white wire going into the kill switch and connect them.
Why does my Honda FourTrax 300 have no spark?
I have been working on a 1990 fourtrax 300. I have no spark at all. I have checked all fuses, checked all of the connections, replaced the coil, checked the kill switch, replaced the CDI, and replaced the starter (not the problem but needed changed anyhow). The motor will crank but that’s it.
Can a switch or kill switch shut the engine off?
It is a 2001 model year if that matters. Re: switch or kill switch will not shut engine off… If I am thinking correctly, you should have a black wire with a yellow tracer, going to the power pack. That is the ground circut for the ignition system.
Why is the Kill Switch on my Honda X2 not working?
X2, find the black wire and the black/white wire going into the kill switch and connect them. If they’re not connected, it won’t start. Most 4-wheeler problems are caused by a loose nut connecting the handlebars and the seat!! You only need two tools in life — WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn’t move and should, use the WD-40.

What to do if your Honda ATV Sparkplug is on fire?
This unhooks the kill switch, ATV ignition switch and wiring for those switches. If the spark improves, the problem is within wiring from one of those switches or a switch itself is to blame. Now you’ll need to disconnect each switch (one at a time) to trace it to the failed part. 4. Test the stator resistance.
Why does the outboard kill switch know which spark plug to fire?
Because the flywheel is keyed on to the crankshaft that happens at a very specific point in the cycle so it knows which Piston is on the compression stroke which Piston is on its you know exhaust stroke etc. and it uses that information to know which spark plugs to fire.
Why does my car kill switch not work?
Should this little conductive disc be so corroded that it’s not going to conduct electricity, then you’ll find that the kill switch won’t function properly and you won’t be able to switch the motor off.
