Since its introduction in 1992, lubrication problems have been dramatically reduced. Check to make sure your Briggs & Stratton or Tecumseh Engine has a drilled and tapped hole in the end of the crankshaft. The size of the hole should be 5/16″ x 24 threads per inch. If your engine does not have this hole, the MAX-LUBE clutch can not be used.
