Im looking at a 1991 Arctic Cat Prowler 440 with 4000 or so miles on it. How good are these sleds? The owner says it runs very well and the sled is in great shape, new seat,piston,o-rings… What is the top speed of these and how long do the motors normally stay strong? Why is my Arctic Cat Prowler not working?
Arctic Cats in the early to mid-90’s are very prone to that, as the grease fitting on the speedometer drive does NOT lubricate the bearing; only the gear (the gear is sealed both sides.) So.. if the speedometer isn’t working, make sure you rule out the bearing!
