Does changing tail lights void warranty?

Simply using an aftermarket or recycled part does not void your warranty. The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act makes it illegal for companies to void your warranty or deny coverage under the warranty simply because you used an aftermarket or recycled part.

Does warranty cover tail light?

Parts not covered by a new vehicle bumper to bumper warranty are mainly wear items ie. parts of the vehicle that deteriorate through constant use. Not covered, are parts such as wipers, tires, brake pads, brake rotors, light bulbs, and window glass. Racing or competing in the vehicle will also void the warranty.

Where are the tail lights on a 2002 Subaru Outback?

My apologies. It is a 2002 Outback. Thanks. If the dash lights (instrument panel, radio and heater controls etc) turn on when the headlight switch is turned On, but the clearance and tail lights do not, that leaves the Parking Switch (on top of the steering column).

Where is the parking light switch on a Subaru Outback?

If the parking light switch (on top of the steering column) turns on all the exterior clearance and tail lights, then most of the wiring is apparently okay. The Parking Light switch, and the regular light switch, generally use the same wires to send power to the bulbs. Model/year would indeed be helpful. My apologies. It is a 2002 Outback. Thanks.

What are the day time running lights on a Subaru Outback?

’03 Outback H6-3.0 Black Granite Pearl, base model with cold weather package and cloth seats. I assume what you mean when you say “day time running lights” are the parking lights on the corners of the car, not the headlights. (The normal definition of DRLs are the headlights being on during any time the car is running-day or night.)

Why are the dash lights not working on my Subaru?

Furthermore, as was noted, the dash lights do work when the headlight switch is turned on. The dash lights are supplied by the relay. In the diagram, only some lights are shown, powered from FB-26, fuse 12. So if the dash lights work, the relay is working. That leaves the Parking Switch, or wiring specific to it, as a probably cause.
