Does a 2009 Lexus IS250 have a timing belt?

Your Lexus IS250 uses a timing chain rather than a timing belt. Just be sure to perform regular services on your car such as oil changes, tire rotations, and any other Lexus specific service intervals and you should be just fine.

It’s got strikingly taut styling, a sporty interior and even a manual-shift option to complement its rear-wheel-drive layout. In other words, the 2009 Lexus IS 250 has what sport-sedan shoppers are looking for. As a sharp-looking compact luxury sedan with a sporty flavor, the IS 250 is an unqualified success.

What’s the most common problem with a Lexus?

This seems to be the best known and most common problem. Lexus America did a recall for it (not sure if Lexus UK did the same). What should I use to clean my Lexus IS 250?

This issue is a build-up of carbon deposits in the engine. I know that ‘Seafoam’ is a really popular cleaner in the US that a lot of people use on many different cars that suffer this issue, but Seafoam is very difficult (and expensive) to get hold of in the UK. Is the Lexus c250 a good car to buy?

I wouldn’t bother with the C250 unless it has some standard features you like, because the C200 is a brilliant car. Both of your complaints are common and they’re not only related to Lexus. The dealer is correct, the speedo is within the limits allowed under the law, so he isn’t under any obligation to correct it.

Are there any issues with the Lexus IS250?

This particular year (2009) of the IS250 is stellar. All we can say is it still looks great, handles great in all weather and we have have zero issues with it. We have always maintained it at a Lexus dealership so that helps. Drove it 1,000 miles cross country and then had it shipped to my son- STILL no issues other than maintenance.
